The year 2021 was marked by recovery, after the outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020 had triggered severe economic contraction on a global scale. The Dutch economy recorded growth of 4.5% in 2021.

In 2020, Bouwinvest and 30 other market players signed the Paris Proof Commitment of the Dutch Green Building Council (DGBC).
