Central Park, new eyecatcher in the heart of Utrecht
The opening of Central Park in Utrecht by André Kuipers (ESA astronaut) and Eelco Eerenberg (Utrecht city alderman) was quite literally one of the high points for the Office Fund in 2021. This was hardly surprising, as the festivities were held in the building’s very own park some 45 metres above street level. This is clearly one of the major pros of this extraordinary office building.
The central park in question is open to all the users of the building, and in addition to providing a green oasis amidst all the offices it also offers amazing views across the city of Utrecht. Bouwinvest believes Covid-19 has had a dramatic impact on how people work. The role offices play in working life has changed and this has made the look and feel of a building, the indoor climate and the facilities it offers more important than ever. And it’s not just the park that makes this building special; thanks to all the shared facilities and the very high standards on the sustainability, innovation and well-being fronts this will be a comfortable and inspiring place where people will enjoy working and meeting for a long time to come. This building has added a great place for tenants and users, now and in the future, so our clients can also count on stable long-term financial returns. And on the social impact front, we have added a healthy, safe and energy-efficient office building where people will enjoy working, and one that is amazingly easy to reach by public transport.
